Product Manager- Wireless 911/112

The Product Manager will report directly to the Director of ProductManagement. Major responsibilities include product research & planning,requirements development, liaison with Marketing and Development as well as withwireless carrier customers.

Opportunities exist for the following product lines:

  • Location Manager – a versatile software hub that allows multiple wireless location technologies to inter-operate and connect to location applications.
  • Local.Info – deliver location-sensitive solutions, including internet content, on wireless devices, including WAP phones.
  • Wireless 911/112 – SignalSoft’s Wireless 9-1-1 is the intelligent network 9-1-1 solution designed to automatically locate wireless callers and connect them with the correct Public Safety Answering Point.

Responsibilities:

  • Define product strategy and evolution with Product Marketing.
  • Define product feature/functionality roadmap.
  • Feature release planning.
  • Specify requirements:  Products/services. Functionality. Interfaces. Integration. Packaging.
  • Ensure that requirements are met.
  • Determine system configuration, performance, recommendations, and platform evolution plans.
  • Determine product positioning in marketplace with product Marketing.
  • Establish product value:  Provide data points for business case. Establish price for value-added capabilities and enhancements. Coordinate marketing message with product marketing.
  • Define and oversee services program:  Professional services. ASP services.
  • P&L and Priorities:  Development plans. Deployment plans. Product price with strategic support from Product Marketing
  • Support management of key accounts and opportunities.
  • Oversee execution of plans.

Requirements:

  • 4 to 7 years product management in a software development environment. .
  • Telecom, Wireless, Internet, or some type of mobile Networking experience is a MUST!
  • BS required, MBA along side Biz savvy are a PLUS. Technical skills come first!
  • Limited travel required.

Senior Engineer 911–Company:AT&T

Description:

AT&T Local Services, is seeking a self motivated, well organized anddetail oriented Engineer to design, establish, maintain and ensure the integrityof the AT&T 911 switching network throughout the nation. This is a SeniorEngineer position located in the Switch Engineering Department withresponsibilities including, but not limited to: ensuring 911 connectivity forall new AT&T Local Service switches, representing AT&T Local Services’interest at State and National Forums such as NENA, issuing and tracking ordersfor 911 trunks for all new ALS switches. Additional responsibilities may beassigned by manager. The Engineer develops network plans for 911 and diagramsthe 911 network. He/she will interface with AT&T internal organizations, aswell as, local agencies and Local Exchange Carriers to design/develop the 911network infrastructure within a scheduled timeline. He/she will initiate trunkorders, facilitate order completion, coordinate testing through projectcompletion, react to new code acquisition, handle NPA splits, evaluate networkrequirements in support of code expansions, troubleshoot 911 issues and educatethe necessary operations team. He/she will also be required to presentdocumentation with the detailed network design/diagrams and geographical mapsfor all cities, which they are responsible for.

Skills and Experience:

He/she should have network and telephony knowledge, good analytical,interpersonal, negotiating skills and be able to handle multiple tasks at anygiven time. Some domestic travel is required.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent businessexperience.
