PSC Ruling Update




Yesterday, September 7, 1999, the PSC voted in our favor on an issue that will require allALECs to:

(1) Collect and remit 911 fees to the appropriate 911 County authority…

(2) Provide customer account information (name, address, telephone number to theappropriate 911 database administrator….

(3) Provide a list of all counties in which they operate, the number of access lines bycounty that are relevant in the calculation of fthe 911 fees, and the name of a contactperson available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week…

The PSC also stated that they will persue making a “ruling” on these issues thatwill further strengthen our position…….
