We do not have a recording answering our 911 lines. I guess itmight be necessary for some very large d departments, however Ithink it is crucial to have a real person answer that phone…thefirst words or sounds that you hear might be very important tohandling that call in the most efficient way. I believe therecould be lives lost by having a recording answer a 911 line, andto me, if one life is lost than it is definately not worth it.Isn’t that what we are all about….saving lives?
