Navigant provides a quick and effective way to plan your travel in service to NENA. By using this service for authorized travel, your airfare and hotel charges can be charged directly to NENA, avoiding the wait for reimbursement. In order to use this tool, you’ll need to do the following:

1. Fill out your personal profile form. You can access this through the ResAssist link in the upper right hand corner.  !New users click here for instructions on setting up your profile.

2. Provide the authorization code for the leadership meeting you are traveling to attend. Call Melody Foster at NENA (800-332-3911) for this information. In future, this information will be sent to you with the initial meeting announcement.

Finally, please read and follow the approved NENA travel policy and procedures linked here. This provides guidelines for pricing that will be used by Navigant. If you chose to override the established parameters, the overage will be charged to you.

In order to expedite the reservation process, please provide the following information:

          Choose the Northeast Region
          Date, approximate time & location of departure
          Date, approximate time & location of return or next destination
          Car rental & hotel needs in each destination
          Other needs – special meals, etc.

Travel Profiles

It is important that all frequent travelers complete a Traveler’s Profile form, which provides the personal information and requirements of the individual traveler.  When booking reservations, the traveler’s record will be completed according to the information provided in the Traveler’s Profile.  It is also important to provide your travel consultant with updates or changes to this information.

Upon completion of your ticket, you will automatically receive an electronic confirmation via Sabre Virtually There, which provides real-time travel plans on-line.  Accessible anytime from anywhere through www.virtuallythere.com.

Preferred Suppliers

will have specially negotiated rates with several suppliers. Additionally, Navigant has preferred programs that should utilize.  Please note that Navigant will offer these preferred suppliers whenever possible to provide extra savings for .

Special Fares and Restrictions

Navigant International will always attempt to provide you with the lowest possible airfares.  Many of these fares have special conditions, so it is VERY IMPORTANT to understand the restrictions including penalties for changing or cancellation. Your travel consultant will explain these to you upon confirmation of your reservation.

Electronic Tickets

In an effort to reduce cost, NENA  has adopted the use of electronic ticketing whenever possible.  The many benefits to travelers:

·          No waiting for ticket delivery or ticket pick up
No prepaid fees for last minute reservations.
No lost or stolen coupons or lost ticket fees, or delays for credit on lost tickets 

Any function that can take place with a paper ticket can occur with an e-ticket. Please contact the travel department if any portion of an e-ticket is not used so that a refund or exchange transaction can be made.   It is essential that you verify all reservations are as you requested.  Please contact your travel consultant IMMEDIATELY should you discover a discrepancy.
