Minneapolis 9-1-1

The Minneapolis 9-1-1 Center staffs about 80 men and women who work together as a motivated team of valued, competent, and highly trained employees. The agency provides police, fire and ambulance services to the people of Minneapolis. They work directly with the Minneapolis Police Department, the Minneapolis Fire Department, Hennepin County Ambulance Dispatch, and North Memorial Ambulance Dispatch.

Department of Public Safety— Minnesota State Patrol Communications
Sponsored by Intrado

The Minnesota State Patrol Communications Section operates ten regional PSAPs. As part of the Regional Transportation Management Center, the State Patrol 9-1-1 Center provides primary public safety dispatching services for the State Patrol and DNR Enforcement Division Officers. The agency serves as a point of contact for any other State entity that utilizes the Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response system, acts as the Minnesota State Warning Point for the National Advanced Warning Alert System, and is the point of contact in the initiation of AMBER Alerts.

Anoka County Central Communications
Sponsored by Intrado

Anoka County Central Communications, a Twin Cities suburban PSAP serving a population of approximately 330,000, provides dispatching services to all eleven law enforcement agencies and all fifteen fire protection agencies in Anoka County and handles an annual call volume of approximately 200,000. The department includes a full time radio maintenance staff to oversee the operation of the countywide 800 MHz trunked digital radio system. A major remodeling project was completed in 2010, and included the installation of Positron VIPER telephony and Xybix dispatch furniture.

Ramsey County Emergency Communications Center (RCECC)

The RCECC serves 16 communities, including the City of Saint Paul, with a combined population of approximately 500,000. Nine law enforcement agencies, including the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department, the Saint Paul Police Department, the State Fair Police Department, and six suburban police departments are dispatched from the RCECC. The RCECC also dispatches nine fire departments. Since the Saint Paul and Maplewood Fire Departments provide full emergency medical service (EMS), RCECC dispatchers provide pre-arrival instructions as certified emergency medical dispatchers.
